An independent pre-shipment inspection sends a third-party surveyor to the loading point to verify quantity, packaging, moisture, screen size and visible defects against the sales contract before the container is sealed. Skipping this step means the first real check against specification often happens only after the shipment has reached a port in Oman, the UAE or the wider GCC, when a mismatch is harder and more expensive to resolve.
For a buyer’s first order with a new supplier, or any order where a mismatch would be costly, Atlas can help identify the inspection requirements to agree before loading. The buyer and supplier should confirm the inspection body, who pays and the exact specification being checked in writing, so an origin report can be used if a later dispute arises.
